A SMART idea has seen 70 suits donated to Myton Hospice by Heaphy's menswear in Warwick.
Throughout March the town centre store ran a promotion where anyone buying a new suit – and donating an old suit at the same time – received a discount, with the old suits being cleaned and donated to the hospice for resale.
The 70 suits collected, which will retail for anything between £10 and £30, will raise much needed funds for the hospice, which cares for sufferers of life limiting illnesses in Coventry and Warwickshire.
Kingsley Haslor, manager of the Myton Hospice shop in Warwick, said: "Clothing is such an important part of what we sell that this donation will make a real difference."
Heaphy’s manager Paul Watson added: “With our shop being literally next door to the Myton shop it seemed a great idea to do something to help their work.
"We would like to thank all our customers who donated their clothing for such a worthy cause.”
