THE KENILWORTH Show has no plans to enter retirement as its reaches its 65th year - with organisers expecting a record attendance.
More exhibitors than ever will be at this year’s show at Hurst Farm on Crackley Lane on Sunday June 1, and Kenilworth and District Agricultural Society are confident of topping last year’s record 6,500 visitors.
Show secretary Alison Gillis said: “It’s a great day out for families who can watch country pursuits, such as sheep dog trials, the Warwickshire hunt, bee keeping and falconry displays, as well as enjoying our trade stands, the shopping marquee and food and drink from many local suppliers.
“This year’s line up of dancing diggers, racing terriers, pony club games, vintage machinery and children’s attractions will make for a fun-packed day and we are expecting a bumper turnout.”
The Kenilworth Show - which kicks off the agricultural show calendar - is a traditional agricultural event, which attracts farmers from all over the country showing their sheep, cattle, alpacas and other livestock. It is also a major focal point for equestrian competitors.
