IN-FORM Leamington Ladies clinched promotion from Midland League Division Two following two victories at the weekend.
They began with a hard fought 2-1 success on Saturday at Leek which was a venue where they had never triumphed before.
The visitors opened the scoring through Kerry Luckett who smartly intercepted a pass and neatly finished.
Leek levelled score early in the second half by converting a penalty flick but Spa responded in fine fashion and Lydia Higman sealed victory with a well struck efort from a short corner.
Player of the match Hannah Groves put in some outstanding tackles to keep Leek at bay and protect the slender advantage.
Leamington followed up with an impressive 4-0 victory at Belper 2nds on Sunday which clinched their place in top flight next season.
Early nerves were settles as 1st XI debutant Scarlett Heath delivered fine cross which was turned into the net by Charlie Quayle.
Leamington strengthened their grip with further goals from Sarah Lucas and Rosie Logan before the break.
The visitors remained on top throughout the second half and player of the match Heath completed the scoring.
Promotion is a testament to the hard work put in by the entire team which has been captained by Becky Lascelles and coached by Bryan Frazer.
