A KNIFE-wielding robber made off with cash after targeting a man in Radford Road, Leamington, on Saturday night (March 3).

The 20-year-old victim was walking near to the junction with Clapham Terrace, at about 7.30pm, when a white man with short blonde hair, aged in his 30s, approached him.

He produced a knife and demanded money, after which the victim handed over a £10 note and the robber ran off. He was more than six feet tall and wearing grey jeans, a light coloured hoody with the hood down and had a heavy dark green coat over the top.

Meanwhile two men have been charged with theft of a motorbike in Leamington.

Officers arrested the pair on suspicion of stealing a motorbike after stopping them in Jenton Road, at 6.35pm on Saturday (March 3).

Following questioning, 18-year-old Christopher Considine of Edmondscote Road was charged with theft of a motor vehicle and released on conditional bail until his appearance at Leamington Magistrates Court at 10am on March 16.

James Daniel Duncan, 21, of Brunswick Street was charged with theft of a motor vehicle and detained in custody to appear at the same court on Monday (March 5).
