Crash leaves elderly couple seriously injured
Philippa Mingins 06/09AN ELDERLY couple were amongst three people seriously injured in a crash in Blackdown, Leamington at the weekend. Two cars collided in Bericote Road at 12.35pm on Sunday (September 5) and the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance, two ambulances and fire crews all attended. Playbox Theatre to celebrate 25th anniversary

PLAYBOX Theatre has plenty to sing and dance about as it gears up to celebrate its 25th anniversary.
From modest beginnings in 1986 running out of a hotel room with just 70 members, the Warwick-based company now has studios across the West Midlands, has toured three continents and boasts some of Britain's top acting talent as alumni. It also now has more than 1,600 members.

Harbury Beer Festival opens today

REAL ale lovers will be in seventh heaven at the 20th annual Harbury Beer Festival.
The ever-popular event will be held in the village hall from 5.30pm to 11pm today (Friday) and from 11.30am to 4pm and 6pm to 11pm on Saturday (September 4).
A pub trail around the village calling at participating pubs is also planned.
Admission is £10 per person and will include a souvenir glass, programme and beer tokens.

Old Milverton's 113th annual show this weekend

THE HISTORIC Old Milverton Horticultural Society holds its 113th annual flower show on Saturday (September 4).
The event welcomes exhibitors from across the area and there is still time for more people to showcase their vegetables, fruit, flowers, cookery, handicrafts, painting and photography.
There is also a special section for families and groups to enter, with this year's theme being scarecrows and miniature landscapes.
