Shelter-supporting comic Damian Kingsley stops off for a laugh

COMEDIAN Damian Kingsley is walking penniless from Land’s End to Edinburgh on a 120-gig tour to raise money for the homeless charity Shelter.

And he will be stopping off to perform stand-up at Leamington’s Loft Theatre on May 29 and Kenilworth’s Talisman Theatre on May 31.

Damian said: “You can support the tour by coming to a show, donating online, spreading the word, hosting a show or even giving me something I need for the journey, like food or jokes.

“The aim of the tour is to raise at least £7,000 by  August 29. The tour started on 24 March and finishes at the Edinburgh Fringe in August, when all donations will go to Shelter”.

Management at both the Loft and Talisman were so impressed by Damian’s energy and initiative that they immediately agreed to his request to use their theatres.

Both shows begin at 8pm. Admission is first come, first served and entry is £7.50 at the Loft, and free at the Talisman with the opportunity to make a voluntary contribution to Shelter at the end.
