SLAUGHTERHOUSE Players are in court this Christmas.
The players present the Christmas Assizes at the The Old Courthouse above Warwick Tourist Information Centre on Friday December 18.
They will be re-enacting three Warwick court cases of yesteryear, and also a fourth case with a Christmas theme – trial of the Santas.
In case one William Ashford brings a request to fight his sister’s murderer under the Wager of Battle law, the last such case to be heard in England. case two sees an escaped convict is brought back to the bench, but is he who they say he is? In case three the question is did Moll Beckett steal property from one of her guests?
And who case four turns the spotlight on a well-known festive figure.
Doors open 6pm, and the performance starts at 7pm – finishing around 9pm.
Tickets are £12 (no concessions) available from [email protected]. The production contains adult humor.
* The players recently handed over £215 to Warwickshire & Northamptonshire Air Ambulance raised following their sell out show about Warwick highwayman Bendigo Mitchell.
