X Factor's Wagner heading for Warwickshire Pride

Leamington Editorial 30th Jun, 2015 Updated: 28th Oct, 2016   0

FAMILIAR faces will be taking to the stage at Warwickshire Pride in Leamington at the weekend.

X Factor finalist Wagner, The Voice contestant Leticia George , and 90s dance music diva Angie Brown will be performing in the Pump Room Gardens on Saturday (July 4).

A family area with amusements, a pamper area, exotic animals from Grace’s Rest animal rescue shelter, psychic readings and bouncy castle nightclub are among some of the other entertainment on offer.

Warwickshire Pride is a celebration of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) culture, but welcomes all people who want to join in with the celebrations from 11am to 7pm.

Organiser Daniel Browne has said: “My vision is to create Warwickshire’s most fabulous festival, where all people can come and celebrate our humanity while having a great day out.

“This year I’m thrilled to have Angie Brown and Letitia George on the lineup. Performers of their caliber and standing coming to Leamington to perform is a testament to the importance of this festival for the community.

“It’s going to be fun for all the family, and of course we will continue to celebrate LGBT culture in a positive, empowering way.”

An after party will take place at Eight Bar on High Street, with proceeds from party ticket sales going to Push Projects LGBTQ Youth Support charity.
