Black Death returns to Birmingham shocker

Leamington Editorial 20th Oct, 2016 Updated: 28th Oct, 2016   0

PASSERS-BY got a scare while going about their daily business in Birmingham.

And it was all down to the good folk at Warwick Castle who thought they would promote their latest attraction by sending over the plague doctor and his chums.

The Black Death has returned to the castle in the form of Outbreak 1349 – a new live-actor experience highlighting the age of the deadly plaque.

And the streets of the Second City were overwrought with visions of contagion, as plague victims made their way up the Canal from Warwick; fumbled their way through the Bull Ring; dropped in at the library in the hope of finding a cure; before the plaque doctor had them back on the train at Moor Street to ensure they were safely back at the castle in time for Halloween.
