Body pulled out of River Leam by police

THE BODY of a 57-year-old man has been pulled from the River Leam by police.

The discovery was made near to York Bridge by the Pump Room Gardens just before 8am on Thursday (January 28).

Ambulance staff were called to the scene and the bridge was cordoned off while police inspected the area.

A police spokeswoman said: “At approximately 7.55am Warwickshire Police were informed that the body of a man had been found.




“Formal identification has not yet taken place put the body is believed to be that of a 57-year-old man from Radford Semele.”

His next of kin has been informed and death is not being treated as suspicious.
