BUSINESSES are being challenged to showcase their entrepreneurial talent by generating funds for Myton Hospice.

The Take 50 challenge will see businesses turn £50 into as much money as possible within 50 days.

There will also be an optional challenge, where teams can travel as far as they can without buying tickets or fares. Last year’s winners made it all the way to Cyprus.

All funds raised through the challenge will go towards supporting the charity, which helps those suffering from a life-limiting illness.

The event will start with a launch night at the Warwick Day Hospice on Tuesday April 5, where those taking part can discuss ideas with other teams.

And at the end of the 50 days all teams can celebrate at an awards dinner on May 26 at Woodland Grange.

Myton fund-raising manager Hannah Morris said: “This is the sixth year we have hosted the challenge and so far, thanks to the incredible support from local businesses, we have raised £157,000 for Myton.

“We have been very lucky over the years to have had so many businesses that are keen to be involved in the challenge and we are looking for new teams to take on those who have previously taken part. We are encouraging anyone who thinks they have what it takes to complete this year’s Take 50 challenge, or even wants to have a go at smashing last year’s winner’s total of £5,000 to get in touch.”
