THE GAUNTLET has been thrown down by the chairman of the Leamington Chess Club as he prepares to take on all-comers.
The club is hosting a free drop-in event at Leamington Library on Saturday (March 21) and any player who wants to challege Tom Darling is invited to drop in between 2pm and 4pm.
Tom said: “The club has been representing Leamington since 1851. We are asking people of any age to come along and play myself and other club members and learn more about chess.”
