A FLEET-footed pupil at Crackley Hall School in Kenilworth has been raking in the prizes.
Molly McGrory had a busy summer competing in her fourth North American Irish Dancing Championships in Florida.
Pitted against over 200 other dancers in the under-ten category, she took home second place and was only three marks behind the overall winner.
Her older sister, and Princethorpe College pupil, Grace made it a family double by also coming second in the under-13 category.
Ten year-old Molly then traveled the shorter distance up to The Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester for the British National Championships.
A repeat performance of her American dance routines saw her go one better by winning gold and being crowned the 2016 British under-ten champion.
Molly said: “It’s been an amazing summer. I was so pleased with the way I danced, all the practice has paid off.
“I think my new dance dress made a difference. Having it specially made for the competition with all its colours – orange, black, gold and silver – made me feel like I could do anything.”
