Ghost hunter catches creepy snap at Warwick Castle

A VISITOR to Warwick Castle was left wondering if she had seen a ghost.

Mariehanna Dickson from Henley was visiting the castle due to her interest in the paranormal – and could not believe it when she captured what she believes was a ghost in one of her photos.

The 30-year-old took a picture of an information board in the Kenilworth bedroom – which is rumoured to be the most haunted room in the castle. The board told of a South African spiritualist who raised a girl from the dead.

But when Mariehanna looked back at the picture she saw a spooky reflection in the image.

Although she does not know who it is, the castle is supposedly haunted by an old lady who drifts along the corridors from room to room.

Mariehanna told the Observer: “While taking the photos I felt very uneasy in the room as though someone walked up behind me. When I noticed the figure in the photo it was really creepy and shocking to say the least.

“I then thought that perhaps it was a waxwork mannequin so called the castle who confirmed there were no figures in that room, I went cold.”

But Mariehanna, who is herself a paranormal investigator, says she has to return to the castle to try and find out who is in the picture.

She said: “I am extremely excited about going back.

“Investigators spend years and a lot of money trying to capture something like this, and I happened to snap a picture on my phone.

“I can’t wait to see if we can document any other activity at the castle.”

Mariehanna, who runs ‘Sage Paranormal’, is returning to the castle in October to see if she and her team can discover who the ghost is or have anymore spooky encounters.
