A FAMILY friend being diagnosed with cancer inspired Hannah Czyrek to brave the shave.
The 20-year-old from Sydenham took the ‘bald’ decision to lose her hair for charity and she was given a helping hand by colleagues as she lopped her locks outside the Tiger store on the Parade in Leamington.
She is hoping to raise £300 for the charity Cancer Research, which conducts research into the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of the disease.
She told The Observer: “Not many people know but some of my close family members and friends have been affected by cancer both in the past and at present.
“These amazing and strong-willed people fight a long and hard battle, using a lot of strength and courage.
“I’m willing to show my support by shaving off my hair in the hope of raising money and helping to find a cure for this horrible illness.”
