Jumping in the saddle to support Guide Dogs

Leamington Editorial 6th Oct, 2016 Updated: 28th Oct, 2016   0

WARWICK and Leamington MP Chris White has jumped in the saddle in aid of Guide Dogs.

The MP is just one of the volunteers who are cycling from the charity’s Warwick New Road site to Forfar in Scotland – all on an exercise bike in reception.

The combined 400 mile ride is being held to raise money and awareness as part of Guide Dog week, which runs until Saturday (October 9).

Community fundraiser Liz Gilbert said: “We hope as many people as possible will join in this challenge by cycling part of the 400 miles or by donating money.

“Almost two million people in the UK are living with sight loss. By 2050 it could be nearly four million. Guide Dogs relies on public donations to carry out its amazing work.”
