Leamington brothel 'manager' in court

Leamington Editorial 16th May, 2016 Updated: 28th Oct, 2016   0

A WOMAN has appeared in court following police raids on a number of brothels, including premises in Leamington.

One of the women, Ting Low, pleaded guilty at Warwick Crown Court to assisting in the management of a brothel in High Street, between September 2013 and June 2014.

The 34 year-old also pleaded guilty to assisting in the management of brothels in Nuneaton, Wolverhampton, Nottingham, Torquay, and London.

Two further charges were put to Low that she concealed, disguised, transferred, converted or removed the proceeds from brothels, knowing it represented criminal property, commonly referred to a money laundering, to which she pleaded guilty.

She was in the dock with five other women and two men.

At the request of their barristers, the case against Low, and two others was adjourned for pre-sentence reports to be prepared on them, but Recorder Kevin Hegarty QC pointed out they would not be sentenced until after the trial of the other five.

Low was granted bail.
