Leamington youngsters mucking in for fun in muddy kitchen

CREATIVE youngsters at St Paul’s Primary School have been getting their hands dirty.

Reception and nursery children at the Leamington school are enjoying making pies, jellies, cakes and more from mud in their new mud kitchen.

Teacher Rachel Cooper approached the PTA about fund-raising for a purpose-built kitchen to replace a smaller, temporary kitchen the school acquired two years ago.

And some £1,200 was raised through a school disco and an adults-only wine tasting event, which went towards the cost of the new kitchen.

It includes a workbench, a dresser and a work table while pots, pan and utensils have been donated by staff and parents.
