A MOTORCYCLIST who was killed in a crash with a car in Lillington has been named.
Dad-of-two Paul Thompson was knocked off his bike in Pound Lane around 5pm on April 21.
Emergency services, including the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance, were quickly on the scene but were unable to save him.
The 42-year-old leaves behind his partner of 22 years, Vickie, and their two children, Jamie, 12, and Hollie, nine.
Paying tribute this week, Vickie said: “Paul was a talented man who could put his hand to anything. He had a big kind heart and a contagious personality. He was loved by so many and will be deeply missed.
“He was a fantastic dad, loving partner, much-loved son and brother, and meant the world to all of his family and friends.
“We have been overwhelmed by all the love and support shown for Paul and his family at this sad time and would like to thank the many people who came to give Paul an amazing send off.”
Flowers and messages of condolence were left at the scene in the wake of the crash.
A tribute from his parents read: “Our beautiful boy has been taken from us. Although our hearts are broken, we will love you forever and ever. In our hearts your memory will never die. Love you Paul. Love you so much.”
And a card written by his children simply said: “Daddy, we love you so much. We hope you’re having a good time. Miss you like crazy. Lots of love, hugs, kisses and cuddles.”
Police are still keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident, which involved a Yamaha motorbike and a Ford Focus.
