Make a will and help Myton Hospice

Leamington Editorial 30th Sep, 2014 Updated: 28th Oct, 2016   0

LAW firms will be writing wills to raise money for The Myton Hospices.

As part of the charity’s Make a Will Week, firms including Blythe Liggins, Wright Hassall, Alsters Kelley, Penmans Solicitors and Moore and Tibbits have signed up to produce basic wills in return for a donation.

Last year 150 wills were written raising more than £15,500 for the charity and this year’s event – running from October 6 to 10 – is hoping to top that with 23 firms from across Coventry and Warwickshire taking part.

Organiser Hannah Morris said: “Making a will is something many people put off and don’t like to think about but it is the only way to ensure our wishes are met after we are gone.

“By taking part in this scheme you can put your affairs in order and support your local hospice at the same time.”

Supporters of The Myton Hospices may also consider leaving a gift to the charity in their will, which will be used to help pay for the care of its patients.

The charity has three hospices in Warwick, Coventry and Rugby and needs to raise almost £8 million a year to keep its services running.

The suggested donation for a single will is £80 and £160 for a joint will.
