HUNDREDS of motorcyclists are set to take part in a charity ride in memory of a fallen Claverdon soldier.
Private Conrad Lewis was shot by an Afghan sniper in Helmand Province on February 9, 2011, while performing his duties as a lead scout.
He was the 353rd British soldier to be killed in Afghanistan and his death prompted his family to set up a trust named 353, which backs a variety of charities helping soldiers and their families.
And this Sunday (July 20) Conrad’s father Tony and brother Jordan will lead a commemorative procession of bikers from Ragley Hall near Alcester to Bridgnorth in Shropshire.
Poignantly, Tony will be riding the motorbike that Conrad gifted him prior to leaving for Afghanistan.
Bikers can meet at the venue from 8am onwards with the aim being to leave at 10am.
Conrad’s Ride costs £5 per person and all proceeds will go towards the 353 charity.
