YOUNGSTERS in Leamington can now learn in the great outdoors.

Leamington-based Wolseley UK contributed £1,000 to the construction of a new outdoor classroom for neighbouring St Anthony’s Catholic Primary School.

Built by Peak Playgrounds, the outdoor classroom provides children with a space in which they can explore and learn in a natural environment.

Headteacher Jane McSharry said: “We reached out to Wolseley UK to help us create an innovative space for children in our school.

“I would like to thank them for supporting the community they operate in – it sets a great example for our children.

“Because of their generosity we were able to complete the build sooner than expected.

“It has been fantastic to see the classroom in use every day by our children and parents.

“We even used it as an innovative space for an outdoor cake and bric-a-brac sale raising money for charity. ”

Vanessa French, General Counsel, Wolseley UK said they were happy to help.

She added: “As members of the community we feel it is incredibly important to support our local schools and offer help whenever we can.”
