Police appeal for witnesses after assault in Old Town

POLICE are appealing for witnesses following an assault in Leamington.

A 22 -year-old woman was assaulted in Old Town between the hours of 10:30pm and midnight on July 9.

The victim – who was doing relief work in the area – suffered serious facial and head injuries and admitted herself to a walk in surgery to have the injuries treated.

One of the offenders is described as a white man, between 20 and 30 years of age, with short blond hair, and wearing dark clothing.




The other is described as a mixed race man, tall, of slim build with short hair which was shaved on the sides and long on top.

It is believed that the offence took place between the back of Parish Church, and the High Street around Althorpe Street and Court Street area.


Police are urging anyone with information to contact Warwickshire Police on 101 or call 0800 555 111 to speak to Crimestoppers anonymously.
