A “VICIOUS” attack in Leamington left a 45-year-old man needing hospital treatment.

The man was on Tachbrook Road just before midnight on Friday July 3 when he was assaulted by two men.

One of the attackers is described as in his twenties, around 6ft 2in tall and of an athletic build.

He is believed to have short blond or light brown hair, was clean shaven and was thought to be wearing jeans and a t-shirt at the time of the incident.

The other – also in his 20s – is believed to be around 5ft 9in, of a medium build and is described as having a slightly tanned complexion.

He is thought to have short dark hair with a fringe and was clean shaven.

Investigating officer DC Edward Doxey said “This was a vicious attack which left the victim with significant injuries that needed hospital treatment.

“I would ask that anyone who saw anything, or thinks they may have seen something, to please contact police.”

Anyone who saw men matching these descriptions or has any further information is asked to call 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
