A PENSIONER had her purse stolen while she was shopping in a Leamington supermarket.

And police would like to speak to this man in connection with the theft, which took place at Aldi on Queensway sometime between 11am and noon on May 14.

Officers say a man walked up and took the purse from the 72-year-old’s handbag while her back was turned.

He is thought to have covered up the action by using a box that was being held in his other hand.

The thief then walked to a different aisle where he placed the box on the shelf and put the purse in his pocket before leaving the store.

Anyone who recognises the man or has any information about the theft is asked to call 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
