Police appeal after teenager assaulted in Leamington

A 16-YEAR-OLD has been arrested after a teenager was assaulted near Leamington’s Pump Room Gardens.

The 17-year-old was walking past the bandstand with a friend around 11.30pm on Saturday (May 7) when there was an altercation with a member of an unknown group of teenagers.

The victim was then hit on the neck with an object – believed to be a bottle – close to the entrance of Leamington Library and had to be taken to hospital for treatment.

A 16-year-old from Leamington has since been arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent to do grievous bodily harm but was released on bail until mid June.




Police are appealing for more information about the attack.
