Police appeal for witnesses after chemicals thrown in woman's face

CHEMICALS were thrown in a woman’s face as she walked through Bishops Itchington.

At around 10pm on Monday (September 5) the 40-year-old woman was walking along Lakin Drive near to the junction with Starbold Road when a man threw the substance in her face before running off.

The woman went into a shop to raise the alarm and was taken to hospital where she received treatment for superficial burns.

A 40-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and has been released on bail until September 10.




Police are now appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time and witnessed the assault or has any information.
