POLICE have released CCTV footage of a man they want to speak to in connection with a car theft in Lillington.

Around 2.20pm on Tuesday January 5 a large quantity of cigarettes was stolen from a vehicle parked on Cubbington Road while it was being used to deliver goods to a shop.

The suspect then left on foot in the direction of Lime Avenue.

It is believed the suspect may have been dropped off in the area by a blue 4×4 vehicle shortly before the incident.

Police would like to speak to the man in the images to help them with their enquiries.

Anyone who recognises the man or has any information about the incident should call police on 101, quoting incident 167 of Tuesday 5 January 2016.

Alternatively, information can be given anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555 111 or via their website.
