Regency Run expected to see bigger turnout

Leamington Editorial 10th Apr, 2016 Updated: 28th Oct, 2016   0

ORGANISERS of this year’s Regency Run are hoping for more entrants than ever.

A record-breaking 2,000 people took part in last year’s 10k run from Newbold Terrace to Mill Gardens.

But organisers Leamington and District Round Table hope even more will sign up to the run which takes place on Sunday April 17 and raise money for British Blind Sport.

Round Table spokesman Mark Chambers said: “We would like to thank the residents and the community for their cooperation. It is great to see everyone getting involved and showing their support. There is always a great feel-good atmosphere, so it should be a fantastic day.

“Although the race has already attracted a lot of interest, we are always keen to see every spot taken so there’s still a chance to enter a team or compete as an individual runner.”
