A FESTIVAL of music, real ale and food is being held to celebrate the new Christmas lights in Leamington’s Old Town.

The free Winter Drinking Festival takes place in Clemens Street on Sunday November 22 from 10am to 6pm,

It will include craft stalls, a bar featuring local ales, a Portuguese barbecue and the chance to meet some birds of prey.

A VISIT from Father Christmas will highlight this year’s festive fair at All Saints’ Church in Warwick.




The church in Emscote will open its doors on Saturday November 28 between 11am and 2pm.

There will be the chance to stock up on Christmas gifts and enjoy refreshments including bacon sandwiches and hot punch.


The Royal Spa Brass Band will also perform on the day.

CHRISTMAS classic Miracle on 34th Street is the next Radford Road Church Film Club screening.

It takes place at the Leamington church on Thursday November 27, from 2pm. Tea and cakes will be served at £2 per person.

THE ANNUAL Carols by Candlelight concert at All Saints Church in Leamington takes place on Saturday December 5.

All are welcome to join the church choir in raising the roof and money for the Myton Hospices with mince pies and mulled wine available in the interval.

Tickets will be available on the night or in advance online and cost £10 for families and £5 for individuals.

FESTIVE folk can enjoy some seasonal music in Leamington on Saturday December 5.

Follow the Star – organised by Leamington Baptist Church – will feature music and carols led by the Royal Spa Brass Band

in Christchurch Gardens at the top of the Parade, from noon.

And after the event hot refreshments will be served at the church in nearby Chandos Street.

HILL Close Gardens in Warwick will hosts the Spirit of Christmas on Sunday December 6.

Christmas carols, a raffle, tombola, mulled wine and mince pies will be on offer from 2pm to 4.30pm.

Entry is £2.50 (£4 for children which includes a visit to Santa).

SANTA will be opening his Grotto again this year at Leamington Art Gallery and Museum.

Youngsters coming to see Santa on Saturday December 12 can take parts in craft activities from 11am to 4pm – and will also receive a gift.

Children can also explore the galleries to find clues left behind by characters from their favourite fairy tales and see the Jack and the Beanstalk lantern.
