SANTA ditched the sleigh this year, and opted for a hike up Mount Snowdon instead.

Some 15 staff and volunteers from the Warwickshire Association of Youth Clubs (WAYC) donned Santa outfits to walk up the Welsh mountain.

The walkers took on the challenge to raise money for the WAYC charity, which supports ypung people in the area.

Vice president of the charity, Ben Wesson said: “It was a challenging but enjoyable experience, I think it is really important to have some fun while raising money.

“The charity does a fantastic job of inspiring young people and enabling them to access education, employment and training opportunities so they can get on in life.”
