TATA Technologies to create 200 jobs at new Warwick HQ

TATA Technologies is setting up its European headquarters in Warwick – creating 200 new jobs.

The global engineering services firm is investing £16 million in a purpose built headquarters at Tachbrook Park. The firm is moving from its current base in nearby Coventry, and the new building is set to be fully operational by the end of next year.

The expanded headquarters will create 200 additional jobs in Tata Technologies for design engineers and programme managers – creating jobs at all levels, from graduate to more senior roles. The building will be home to some 600 staff in total.

The headquarters will house the firm’s engineering support services, as well as a modern research and development centre to further enable Tata to take advantages of growth opportunities – particularly in the automotive, aerospace and industrial machinery sectors.

The new headquarters, which received planning permission from Warwick District Council a month ago, will be built on a 3.8 acre site by Leamington-based developers AC Lloyd.

Nick Sale, Chief Operating Officer of Tata Technologies Europe, said: “These new headquarters showcase our ambition to continue to grow and expand Tata Technologies’ operations in the UK and Europe. The development marks an exciting new chapter in the company’s support of engineering excellence across the region.”

Warwick and Leamington MP Chris White welcomed the news and paid a visit to the site on Friday February 13.

He said: “As a champion for manufacturing in the UK, I welcome Tata Technologies’ announcement and commitment to creating 200 skilled jobs in our community. This is great news for local people and another endorsement of the importance of the region as a manufacturing and engineering hub that is playing a key role in helping to rebalance the UK economy.”

Warwick District Council leader Andrew Mobbs was equally pleased to welcomed Tata to the district.

Coun Mobbs said: “This is wonderful news that Tata Technologies have confirmed that their new European headquarters will be based in Warwick. As a Council, we are delighted that our efforts in assisting Tata Technologies to relocate to the District have paid off and it shows that we are committed to doing everything we can to support new and existing business in the area. This is a tremendous boost for both residents and prospective new business associates of Tata Technologies based in and around Warwick. We are looking forward to a long and positive relationship with Tata Technologies for the foreseeable future.”
