A 20-YEAR-OLD man has been bailed by police following the death of three people in a car crash during the early hours of Saturday morning (June 20).

The collision occurred around 2.45am on Radford Road near to the junctions of Willes Road and Eastnor Grove.

A blue Citroen Saxo travelling out of Leamington on the A425 is believed to have left the road and collided with a tree and a wall.

Emily Jennings, 27, from Warwick, Nathan Rhodes, 23, from Southam and Ryan Case, 25, from Stockton all died at the scene.

A 20-year-old man was arrested immediately afterwards on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and driving under the influence of alcohol.

He has since been bailed by police until July 31.

Emergency services attended the crash along with police and the road was closed for several hours while collision investigators examined the scene to determine the cause of the smash.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “Crews arrived to find a car had left the road and been in collision with a tree and wall.

“Two men and one woman suffered multiple serious injuries in the crash. Unfortunately nothing could be done to save them and all three were confirmed dead at the scene by medics.

“Two further men were injured in the crash, a man believed to be in his 20’s suffered serious leg and head injuries while another man suffered back and neck injuries.”

The two men – aged 20 and 21 – were then taken to University Hospital where their condition was described as ‘stable’.

Tributes have since begun to be laid at the scene of the crash.

And police are now appealing for witnesses to come forward as part of their investigation.

Anyone with any information should contact Warwickshire Police on 101.
