POLICE have released a photo of jewellery stolen after two thugs attacked a pensioner after breaking into a house in Whitnash.

The men broke into a home on Whitnash Road in the early hours of September 18 where they were confronted by the elderly householders.

The thieves grabbed the woman, in her 70s, and forced her to hand over two bangles she was wearing. The woman was left in shock but fortunately only suffered minor injuries. A man, also in his 70s, was unhurt.

The burglars made off in the direction of Leamington.

Police believe at least one car was being driven along Whitnash Road at the time of the incident and are keen like to hear from the driver, who may have witnessed something, or from anyone else who could have information which may help bring the culprits to justice.

Anyone with information should call police on 101 or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
