Timo just wants a loving home

STAFF at Dogs Trust Kenilworth are hoping the time is now for one of their long term elderly residents.

Timo has spent 360 days at the rehoming centre and is desperately seeking a forever home to live out the rest of his days.

The 12-year-old German Shepherd Cross arrived at the rehoming centre in April 2014 and has so far watched 1,450 of his canine friends find loving new homes.

He is an older boy looking for a home with a snuggly bed to rest his paws and loving owners who will give him time to settle in and keep him active.

Dogs Trust Supporter Relations Officer, Helen Barlow said: “Timo is a handsome, kind and loyal gentleman who has found himself at the rehoming centre through no fault of his own.

“Some older dogs struggle to find forever homes because many people think they come with health issues and that they won’t be as much fun.

“That is certainly not the case with Timo, he is fit for his age and is full of beans, he loves his home comforts and snuggling up for a nap on a comfy bed but he still loves to run around and play with his toys.”

She added: “Timo is a sociable dog who is happy to share his toys with people and other dogs, he’s looking for an active adult home with plenty of home comforts to keep him occupied.”

As well as Timo, there are several other ‘older’ dogs in need of a home at the Trust.

To offer a canine golden oldies a loving retirement home call the rehoming centre a call on 0300 303 0292.
