The festival takes place this weekend (June 18 and 19) and charity Push Projects LGBTQ Youth Support will remember those who who were killed and injured at a gay club in Florida last weekend.

Some 50 people lost their lives and many were injured when a gunman opened fire at Pulse nightclub.

The vigil will take place around Push Projects’ LGBT stall at festival on Saturday at 6pm. Speeches and a one-minute silence will also take place.

A mix of workshops, peace talks, live music, healing treatments and food stalls will feature in Pump Room Gardens from 11am to 7.30pm on Saturday and from 11am to 6pm Sunday.

The Peace Festival was founded in 1978 and is still one of the longest running free festivals in the country.
