Leamington Editorial 15th Jun, 2016 Updated: 28th Oct, 2016   0

THIRSTY referendum voters in Leamington will be treated to a hot drink and slice of cake.

The Brunswick Hub on Shrubland Street will be handing out tea, coffee and cake to people who have voted in the EU Referendum on Thursday (June 23).

Hub chief executive, John Wilde said: “It’s an important day for the UK and we’re hoping people in this area of Leamington will be taking the opportunity to have their say.

“The Brunswick Hub is right next door to the polling station and it’s an ideal occasion for people to stop by. We run a number of invaluable services and we have over 50 volunteers who help to make it all happen.

“People can drop in on referendum day for a drink and a piece of cake, kindly donated by local baker The Cake Shop, and find out what The Hub is all about.”

The hub will be open from 8am to 8pm on the day.
