Walkers asked to put best foot forward for The Myton Hospices

WALKERS are being asked to put their best foot forward in aid of Myton Hospice.

On Sunday May 15, the hospice will host their annual Walk for Myton, which will see families and friends walk together to celebrate the life of a loved one while raising money for the hospice.

The walk will start and end at Warwick Myton Hospice and is suitable for all fitness levels, giving walkers the option of three, six or 12 mile routes.  Dogs are also welcome.

Myton events coordinator Lucy Turner said: “We can’t wait for this year’s Walk for Myton.

“It’s such a lovely way for people to support Myton or to remember a loved one while raising money to help ensure we can continue to provide care and support in the area.

“We really enjoyed last year’s event and we are hoping this year will be even more successful.”

Last year the charity raised £31,000 – enough to help run the Myton at Home service in Warwick and Leamington for more than three months.

Organisers hope this year’s walk will generate £35,000, which is enough to fund a Myton nurse for a year.

Registration for the walk is free but Myton is asking walkers to raise as much as possible.

On return to the Myton Lane base, walkers can enjoy an afternoon of entertainment, a BBQ, bouncy castle, music and games.
