A WARWICK man has been arrested following an alleged attack on a cyclist.

On Good Friday (March 25) a white Seat Ibiza was involved in a crash with a bicycle at around 11pm on Clarence Street.

It is then believed the passenger of the car got out and assaulted the cyclist – a man in his forties who suffered head injuries and was taken to Coventry’s University Hospital.

Warwickshire Police have arrested a 32-year-old man from the Warwick area on suspicion of dangerous driving and causing grievous bodily harm with intent. HeĀ is currently in police custody.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information is asked to call 101 to speak to Warwickshire Police or call 0800 555 111 to speak to Crimestoppers anonymously.
