WARWICK residents are being invited to join in a right Royal knees up next weekend.
The Mayor of Warwick will be hosting a special celebration tea party at the Court House Ballroom in honour of The Queen’s 90th Birthday on Saturday (June 11).
The event is open to all residents with a CV34 postcode and to honour any Warwick residents also turning 90 this year, the first ten to apply for tickets who share their 90th birthday year with the Queen will be treated by the Mayor.
The celebration tea party will include entertainment from the actress and mezzo-soprano Imogen Parker, who studied music, singing, dancing and acting in Warwick and Leamington.
She now lives in London and is part of the Fourth Monkey Theatre Company and appeared at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2015.
Imogen received a grant from Warwick Apprenticing Charities to support her training and will be performing songs taken from musicals from each decade of The Queen’s reign during the event.
There will also be a selection of sandwiches, cakes, tea, coffee and soft drinks on offer.

Cheques need to be made payable to ‘Mayors Charity’ and sent to Sarah Acklam, Warwick Town Council, The Court House, Jury Street, Warwick, CV34 4EW together with contact details and a stamped addressed envelope for the tickets.
Those wishing to attend who are turning 90 this year are asked to submit their name, address and date of birth.
