Woman airlifted to hospital after Warwick car crash

A WOMAN had to be airlifted to hospital after a crash left her trapped in her car in Warwick.

The accident happened on Birmingham Road near the Wedgnock Lane turn around 9.30am on Wednesday January 15.

Crews arrived to find three cars had been involved in a crash and then spent more than an hour freeing the woman from the wreckage.

The woman – thought to be in her 50s – had suffered a broken leg and shoulder and arm injuries, and was flown to University Hospital in Coventry by Warwickshire Air Ambulance




The driver of a second car, a man, was treated for minor hand injuries but did not need further treatment.

No one else was injured.
