Woman dies after falling from horse in Southam

A WOMAN has died after falling from a horse in Southam.

Paramedics and the air ambulance were called to The Slade in Fenny Compton at around 11.15am today (January 6) where they found a woman who had fallen from a horse.

She had suffered traumatic injuries and was in cardiac arrest.

Despite paramedics’ best efforts she died at the scene.




A spokesman from West Midlands Ambulance Service said: “Crews arrived to find a woman that had suffered serious injuries after falling from a horse.

“The woman was in traumatic cardiac arrest and advanced life support was carried out at the scene by medics.


“Unfortunately, despite everyone’s best efforts, nothing could be done to save the woman’s life and she was sadly confirmed dead at the scene.”

Two ambulances, a BASICS doctor and the Midlands Air Ambulance attended the scene.
