COMPETITION: Win tickets to watch Wasps take on European giants Toulon

IT IS the Clash of the Titans when the most star-studded rugby game in the West Midlands’ history is staged at the Ricoh Arena this Sunday.

Two-times European Cup winners Wasps will be facing three-times holders and reigning European Champions Toulon on November 22 (5.15pm) in a match littered with stars from the Rugby World Cup.

The Observer has five pairs of tickets for readers to win, to go to the Ricoh Arena to watch Wasps’ opening home European fixture of the season against the reigning title-holders, in this eagerly-anticipated match.

Both teams are packed with international players – Wasps have 18 in their ranks and Toulon have 29 players with international caps in their squad.




Rugby World Cup stars, including South African speed merchant and 2007 RWC winner Bryan Habana, Australians Matt Giteau and Drew Mitchell and Georgia captain Mamuka Gorgodze are expected to line-up for French giants Toulon, who will be aiming to set a competition record this season by winning the European Champions Cup for the fourth time.

Wasps have their own array of international stars to select from, including Australian legend George Smith, All Blacks’ Charles Piutau and Frank Halai, Wales’ lock Bradley Davies and England’s James Haskell and Joe Launchbury, in this tantalising encounter.


The Observer competition winners will have the opportunity to enjoy an action-packed day at the Ricoh Arena ahead of the 5.15pm kick-off which includes family activities in the fans’ village, the chance to watch Clermont Auvergne v Ospreys on the big screen and a live performance from four-piece Indie band The Recruits.
