FOR the second consecutive year Crackley Hall’s Under-9s were crowned champions at the Independent Schools’ Association’s Midlands Championships.
The youngsters played a total of seven matches and racked up an impressive tally of 46 goals while only conceding four on their way to the title.
Shooters Honor Mae Minshull and Emily Hennegan were in great form, while coach Julia Roberts rallied the girls into action and encouraged them every step of the way at Stafford Prep School.
Crackley Hall progressed through to the final after defeat MyInhurst comfortable 4-0 to set up a final against Heathcote School.
The Crackley youngsters rose to the occasion and showed no signs of nerves by winning 6-2 to be crowned champions.
“I’m so proud of all of the team,” said Roberts. “Every single one of them including our exceptional reserves played up to the mark. It was a joy to watch from start to fnish.”
