GOLF: A SUPERB total score of 145 proved to much for his closest rivals at Jamie Goode added the Leamington & County Club Championship to his recent course record.
Goode finished three shots ahead of second-placed Josh Bowen to claim the top prize, with Ian Jones taking third spot with a score of 150.
With a four shot lead after a -2 round of 70 on Saturday, Goode’s 75 on the final day of play was enough to secure victory.
It capped of a memorable week for Leamington golfer Goode who just a week earlier had recorded a new course record of 69 in the Presidents Vase.
