Leamington set to host hockey festival

Leamington Editorial 26th Jul, 2016 Updated: 28th Oct, 2016   0

PLAYERS of all different ages and ability are being encouraged to join Leamington Hockey Club for a fun mini-festival next month.

The popular club, which is based at North Leamington School in Sandy Lane, will be hosting a special day of mixed hockey on August 13 on the astroturf at the University of Warwick.

The event will run from 12-5pm with quick half-pitch matches played in a round-robin format. These will be followed by semi-finals and a grand final to determine the winner, although the day is much more about having fun playing hockey than winning.

The tournament is open to players aged 13 or older of any level or ability and teams will be assigned on the day.

Entry costs £10 per person and that includes food and soft drinks. Alcoholic drinks are strictly banned from being on site.

Tickets are available by visiting www.pitchero.com/clubs/leamingtonhockeyclub/payments.
