Wayne Morgan named new head coach for Kenilworth Rugby Club

FORMER Kenilworth player Wayne Morgan has been confirmed as the club’s new head coach after replacing the outgoing Jonny Cresswell.

Kenilworth bid a fond farewell to Cresswell who confirmed last week he is returning to live in Ampthill after five years at the Glasshouse Lane club.

Cresswell joined Kenilworth for the 2010/11 season which saw Kenilworth relegated from National League Three Midlands but also saw him taking the Players Player of the Year award as a consequence of his standout play and complete commitment to the cause.

That level of commitment continued throughout the following four years during a time of considerable restructure.

Former Rugby Lions player Morgan comes in as his replacement and is no stranger to Kenilworth.

He first played for the club back in the early 90s and helped them rise up the Midlands rugby league ladder as club captain before retiring in 2003.
