RACING Club Warwick have appointed Jack Edwards and Chris Knott as joint first team managers to replace former boss Scott Easterlow.

The Racers have moved quickly to replace double promotion winner Easterlow with midfielder Edwards and former Brakes interim boss Knott.

Easterlow replaced Knott in the Your Co-op Community Stadium dugout in leaving the Racers to join the Brakes.

However, Knott has made a swift return to management to take up the manager’s job at Townsend Meadow alongside current Warwick midfielder and Brakes legend Edwards.

Edwards has made 31 appearances for the Racers this season following an 11-year spell at Leamington where he played 456 games.

Knott stepped up to become interim manager of National League North side Leamington following the resignation of Paul Holleran on New Year’s Eve.

And Lewis Marston will join the management team of Edwards and Knott as first team coach.

The club’s current backroom staff of goalkeeping coach Chris Cook and physio’s Anna Poole and Rob Hartshorn will remain in their roles.

A club statement said: “The board would like to express its sincere thanks for the overwhelming level of interest shown following the news of the first team manager position.

“We have been both humbled and astounded by the number and quality of applications and enquiries received from across the non-league game and beyond.

“It is a testament to the progress the club has made and the exciting direction in which Racing Club Warwick is moving.

“We would like to place on record our appreciation to everyone who took the time to contact the club

“Everyone at Racing Club Warwick would like to welcome Jack, Chris and Lewis to their new roles as we begin this exciting new era with the Racers.”
