ALT-ROCKERS TV Pins mark the release of their new Pride track with a gig at Stratford’s Rother Street Arts House on June 27.
The five piece – including vocalist James Schofield and bass player Simon Hudson who are from Stratford – release feel-good anthem ‘Version of Love’ celebrating inclusivity, identity and love, the day before the gig.
It is the first taste of their forthcoming self-released EP and the first new material since debut album ‘Aircutter’, which received widespread critical praise and earned BBC Introducing support alongside national radio exposure, including a feature on BBC Radio 5 Live.
The band, who blend prog-pop, new wave, and Americana influences with a distinctly British alt-rock songwriting sensibility, have built a solid following on the UK live circuit, with multiple headline tours and festival slots including Camp Bestival and Lakefest under their belts.
Talking about the new single, LGBTQ+ vocalist Grace Hinks said: “To me, it’s about accepting and standing up to those who don’t embrace all forms of love – romantic, aromantic, and especially queer joy. It’s about celebrating that openly.”
