THE HEAVEN’S above were the focus for many in the district at 9.30am this morning.
A near full solar eclipse plunged the area into darkness and saw the temperature drop for a few minutes as the moon covered the sun.
The weather for experiencing the eclipse in the Midlands was among the best in the UK. We are not expected to see a similar eclipse until 2026.
